Dip or Moist Smokeless Tobacco has it’s roots deep in American history and is often confused with another form of tobacco, Swedish snus. While the two look pretty similar, they are two very different products but, Swedish snus actually gave Dip it’s start in the States. It was the Swedes that first produced American smokeless and the reason was that Swedish immigrants to the New World back in the late 1600 missed their beloved snus and since they were here to cultivate tobacco for export back to Sweden, and importing Swedish snus was pretty expensive, they decided to make it for themselves but, there was a big difference. |
